Hello

Being a scientist is not just about what you know—it's about curiosity. It's about asking questions and trying your best to find the answers. It's the excitement and willingness to change your understanding or worldview and the drive to collect data, perspectives, and information from all angles.
As a scientist turned writer, I pride myself on taking complex discoveries from the field, lab, or clinic and turning them into something captivating and accessible for a general audience.

My Story

I am a trained Cell and Molecular Biologist with a history of working in labs in academia and industry.

Now, I am a Medical Editor/Scientific Writer. To fortify this career shift, I am pursuing a Master of Arts in Science Writing at Johns Hopkins University. I will graduate in 2025.

Major areas of interest have included human and veterinary medicine, environmental issues, conservation, and profiles of unique individuals. My complex health history has granted me a particular sensitivity and empathy for individuals affected by disease, whether genetic or acquired.

When I'm not writing or interviewing experts, I cherish my time outdoors, hiking in local wooded areas, or volunteering at the nature center to ensure the next generation appreciates the conservation of ecosystems and biodiversity. I enjoy photography, painting, and singing the timeless melodies of icons like Patsy Cline.
